FlightSpan™ Ops Release Notes 4.18.0

The release will occur during your normal daily maintenance window (typically between midnight to 3 am local time).

IMPORTANT: Some security hardening features have been added to FlightSpan Ops that have wide reaching impacts. Although we have done extensive testing over the past month, we expect that you will find occasional minor issues (such as having to refresh after hitting a Save button). Please report any issues you encounter and we will address them as quickly as possible. 

New Features

  • Seat configurations (including stowed seats) for both FlightSpan Ops and for the EFB are now completely under your control. You can create your own Quick Configurations for use in FlightSpan Ops and on the EFB, and any seat configuration set for a manifest or a flight leg is now passed down to the EFB. See the documentation for details. 

FlightSpan Support has created a migration to prepare all your aircraft for the move. All that should be required is for you to change the new Aircraft Type EFB Preference “Use New Seat Configuration Features” to Yes. 

After you sync, when you create or open a New flight, the new features will be automatically applied. However if a flight is already open, the new features will not be applied unless you first delete and then refresh the flight. 

Enhancements

  • The company fatigue management rules have been updated to allow for dynamic rule creation and management
  • Added a new REST API for airport runway image uploading. See the documentation for details.
  • Significantly increased the security of FlightSpanOps to prevent malicious attacks and data breaches

Bug Fixes

  • FOQA API pagination was broken
  • The schedule page would break when a scheduled load had Ignore Count and Weights checked
  • DFR reupload failed when the departure or destination was missing from the flight legs
  • FlightSpan could crash because of excessive change history records.
  • Nav waypoint hover details were not showing
  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII) was hidden in reports even when users authorized to view PII ran the report
