Speed Reduction

Tap the Reduce Speed button to change the normal cruise speed.

Set the desired cruise speed, or tap Done to accept the default reduced speed.

Enable the speed reduction option and set the default speed under Aircraft Type EFB Preferences.

The new cruise speed is highlighted on the Reduce Speed button.

And on the Nav tab, the ETE is highlighted with an exclamation point. Tap on the symbol to pull up the speed reduction information.

Note: Fuel consumption rate is not changed

Lateral CG

In addition to longitudinal CG, lateral CG is calculated and displayed on the envelope.

Max Load

The first row of the Max Load section tells you that you can add an additional 25 kilograms in the cabin and remain in limits. In this example, if these 25 kilograms are placed at station 4.387, the aircraft will be at the aft center of gravity limit.

The second row of the Max Load section tells you the external load envelope adds 90 kilograms of capacity, and you could load

  • 115 kilograms of external load or
  • Up to 25 kilograms in the cabin with a combined weight of no greater than 115 in the cabin and external load.

External Load

When an external load is added, two things happen:

  • The envelope expands to display the additional capacity (if any) with an external load
  • Cruise speed is automatically changed to the default speed reduction

Note that the external load portion of the envelope is above the yellow line, and with the current load, you could still load a combined 31 kilograms in the cabin or external load.

If you attempt to exceed the external load capacity, you will get a warning message.
