FlightSpan™ 10.3.0 includes a number of enhancements, bug fixes, and new aircraft types.
Enhancements
- MAP tab: Nav Charts are now sorted alphabetically
- DFR tab: Simulator flights now allow upload with no landings recorded (not forced to enter one landing per leg). Note: this is triggered by having the word “SIM” in the aircraft’s registration/tail number. ‘N123SIM’ or ‘NSIM01’ are examples.
- DFR tab: individual flight legs are no longer required to have at least one landing
- Use case: flying from A to B and shooting an instrument approach to a miss at B, then proceeding on to C…and you want to log the instrument approach at B–you no longer need to record a landing on the A-B leg.
- You will be prompted to ensure that you specifically intended to not have a landing on a given leg, but you can acknowledge the message and proceed to upload.
- You do need at least one landing for a given flight record.
- Select Flight Screen: if a scheduled flight is downloaded/opened on the EFB, and then the date of the flight on the EFB or in FlightSpan™ Ops is changed, the resulting mis-match of dates could make it hard to locate this flight on the EFB. Now, when this occurs, flights with a mis-match between the scheduled flight date in FlightSpan™ Ops and the EFB will be listed in a sub-section of the list of scheduled flights on the EFB. This list will always show, regardless of what filters are set.

Bug Fixes
- Resolved issue that resulted in ‘Lock In Portrait’ function not working. Unfortunately, Apple’s requirements mean that resolving this issue means that split screen (introduced in 10.2.0) is no longer supported for the EFB.
- W&B tab: corrected rounding issues that resulted in 1 weight unit differences between payload available and the gross weight of the aircraft.
- Fixed issue that resulted in the ScratchPad DFR disappearing
- Fixed Set Min Fuel issue so that Set Min Fuel feature works when used after one or more legs are complete
New Aircraft Types
- Cessna U206-AM-550 model (amphib floats, IO-550 engine)
- Cessna U206-AF model (Aerocoustics STC and Flint tanks)
- Cessna U206 (base/’stock’ Cessna 206 with cargo pod)
- Cessna U206-NP (base/’stock’ Cessna 206 without cargo pod)
