Cargo Section

Internal Cargo

There are three cabin cargo stations to choose from.

Enter the cargo in one or more of the stations.

If there is cargo in the external cargo pods, you can determine the total cargo weight for the cabin

  • first enter the cargo in the pod(s) and then
  • enter the total cargo weight, and
  • tap the “-Pods” button. (i.e. total cargo weight – weight of cargo in pod(s) = cabin cargo weight)

The total load minus what’s in the pods will be entered.

The default arms are set in FlightSpan™ Ops. Tap the arm button if you want to change the arm.

Can Load Button

To determine how much loading you can place at a given station without exceeding weight or CG limits, first tap the Can Load arm button.

Set the desired arm and tap Done.

The maximum weight that can be loaded without exceeding weight or CG limits will be displayed.

External Cargo

If your aircraft is equipped with external cargo compartments, they will be depicted in a way that is representative of their actual layout.

Tap the cargo compartment bay you wish to load.

Enter the total load. Maximum for the bay will be listed at the top.

Load Totals

Estimated landing weight and estimated fuel remaining upon arrival at the destination is displayed below the Can Load button.

If there is a company runway weight limit, it will be displayed below the estimated landing weight.

If the runway or aircraft weight limits are exceeded, there will be a warning.

Max Load, total Load on board, and Remaining that can be loaded will always be displayed at the bottom of the cargo section. If limits are exceeded, they will turn red.

NOTE: Any time the Max Load is restricted below the maximum certificated ramp or takeoff weight, a payload limitation symbol will appear next to the Max Load number. Symbols are:

  • LW, landing weight restriction (company or aircraft),
  • TO, company takeoff weight restriction (below max certificated), and
  • ZF, zero fuel weight restriction.

The Remaining number will display the furthest aft the remaining available cargo can be loaded without exceeding the aft limit.
