FlightSpan™ EFB Release Notes 10.6.0

FlightSpan™ 10.6.0 includes a new feature, several enhancements and bug fixes, and three new aircraft types.

New Feature

  • Additional Images can now be added to a runway chart from the Runway Chart tabs of the EFB. See the documentation for details.

Enhancements

  • Documents being sent to FlightSpan™ Ops from the EFB can now have multiple links, allowing you to attach a document to an aircraft, a flight, a waypoint, or a currency event—and any combination of the four. See the documentation for details.
  • Users can now specify encryption for documents being sent to FlightSpan™ Ops from the EFB. See the documentation for details.
  • The triggers for transitioning to the landing state have been refined to reduce false triggers during slow flight.
  • When showing the fleet, you can now filter the fleet group to be displayed (for example, if you have helicopter and fixed wing fleet groups, you can filter to see only one of these fleet groups).
  • When showing the fleet, if a fleet aircraft is moving, the aircraft’s icon will now be displayed on the chart in the proper orientation reflecting their track. If the fleet aircraft is not moving, a stationary position icon will be shown.
  • If you change your departure point after sending your flight manifest, you will receive a warning and if you proceed, the sent flight manifest will be canceled.
  • Block In / Block Out recording has been refined for when the On the Ground for the current leg and the Trip Manifest for the next leg are sent while the aircraft is moving.
  • Improved block time capture for flights with multiple touch and goes.
  • The Std Pilot has been removed from the pilot selection page.

Bug Fixes

  • Smart ETAs didn’t transition to actual ETA’s after level off
  • On Amphibious aircraft, the Landing Weight Limit referenced the departure point waypoint type instead of the destination waypoint type
  • When the company distance units were set to feet, the map waypoint data displayed meters
  • Resolved an issue with document upload
  • Sometimes the map continuously refreshed while in flight.
  • When switching aircraft, the Max Load on the Nav Tab did not change
  • If a Payment was created in FlightSpan™ Ops after the load was initially downloaded to the EFB, the load was duplicated
  • A Nav Chart name change in FlightSpan™ Ops didn’t sync to the EFB
  • The PC6 landing performance tab showed the +5% for pods icon
  • Add/Remove Equipment label cut off on iPad mini
  • Incorrect date when pilot receipts were synced from the iPad to FlightSpan™ Ops
  • Reupload of the DFR unlinked the currency event from linked document
  • v2 message error when quote marks were included in the v2 message
  • Chart changes not displayed after a Custom Element scope change

New Aircraft Types

  • Pilatus PC-12/45
  • Kodiak K-100NP (no pod)
  • Kodiak K100-S2 (standard Kodiak with the same stretcher configuration as the K100-NP)
