FlightSpan™ EFB Release Notes 10.9.0

FlightSpan™ 10.9.0 includes three new features and a number of enhancements and bug fixes.

Note: FlightSpan™ on the EFB must be closed before the new version can be automatically installed. 

New Features

  • PDF Documents and jpeg or png images that have been saved on the iPad can now be imported to the Documents tab and uploaded to FlightSpan™ Ops. See the documentation for details. 
  • Signatures and written text can now be added to all document types, including to Flight Plans, Operational Flight Plans, and Journey Logs. 
  • Passenger names can now be added to seats in the W&B tab. See the documentation for details. 

Enhancements

  • When you update the fuel quantity from either the W&B tab or the Nav tab, if there is fuel stored at that location and the total fuel quantity changes by more than 10 kilograms, a pop-up will ask if you want to enter a fuel transaction.
  • You now have the option of creating or not creating a DFR load for Drop or Use fuel transactions
  • Added a search function on the pilot and aircraft selection pages
  • The rate calculator now calculates and prefills flight time for both time-based and calculated rates 
  • On takeoff and landing performance, if the text under the red runway limit markers overlaps with other text (such as runway length or percent markers) the runway length or percent markers will be hidden
  • All active currencies are now available from the currency button on the calculator
  • Flight Levels +500 are now available above FL180 for VFR operations
  • The option to add all flight levels has been added
  • The iPad IP address has been added to Settings for easier Xplane connection
  • The minimum stretcher weight of 10kg has been removed
  • B200-RHF/RHFP King Air QuickSeat icons have been modified

Bug Fixes

  • The default takeoff flap setting was being used if no additional flap setting was defined
  • The DFR load section was not honoring the ‘DFR: Show Purpose Code On Loads’ company preference
