FlightSpan™ EFB Release Notes 10.7.0

FlightSpan™ 10.7.0  includes a number of enhancements, bug fixes, and three new aircraft types.

New Features

  • None

Enhancements

  • When diverting to an alternate, FlightSpan™ now notes the current time and location, then calculates the ETE and fuel burn for the flight from the departure point to the turning point, and on to the alternate. 
  • Fuel specific gravity can be set in FlightSpan™ Ops with an effective date (for cold climate seasonal variations), and the EFB will calculate fuel weight using the new specific gravity on or after the effective date.
  • When the FlightSpan™ Ops Company EFB Preference “v2 Auto-Dismiss ACK Type Message Replies” is set to Yes, Acknowledge messages from the v2 website will be automatically dismissed on the Message Tab. When set to No, the pilot must dismiss any Acknowledge message.
  • The stretcher installation quick configure button is improved with a new Aircraft Type EFB Preference that can be set in FlightSpan™ Ops in conjunction with the existing preference. “Stretcher Replaces” defines which seats must be removed (and can’t be installed with a stretcher) and “Quick Configure” defines the preferred placement or removal of other seats. 
  • Improved the Nav chart download process to accommodate large charts
  • Added Nav chart download progress bars for each chart
  • The PC12/45 aircraft type now has multiple flap settings for landing performance
  • A chart revision date element can be added to the chart layout in FlightSpan™ Ops, and it will now be displayed on the EFB charts
  • Amphib aircraft takeoff state change detection refined
  • A time warning is no longer displayed on time-based loads
  • TKS tanks can now display decimal max quantities instead of rounding
  • The Pressure Altitude pick list now goes up to 14,000 feet
  • Configured seat count is now sent to the database for certain reports
  • Flight phases algorithm refined
  • Improved the fleet feature display
  • DFR upload failure feedback improved
  • Storage labels under Settings changed
  • Additional data storage tracking added to help track down bugs

Bug Fixes

  • Below sea level Pressure Altitude on Cessna aircraft didn’t correct to sea level
  • Large charts sometimes momentarily didn’t respond to zoom/pan gestures
  • Amphib float locker loads didn’t copy to next leg
