FlightSpan™ EFB Release Notes 10.5.0

We’re excited to introduce three significant new features in FlightSpan™ 10.5.0. It is important that pilots familiarize themselves with how they function by clicking on the training links.

There are also multiple enhancements and some bug fixes.

New Features

  • You can now manage and view fuel inventory from both the EFB and FlightSpan™ Ops. Track quantities only with Simple Management, or track how much fuel is in each container with Advanced Management. See the FlightSpan™ Ops documentation for setup and office use, as well as the EFB documentation for use in the cockpit.
  • View the location of your entire fleet on the map page. See the Fleet Position documentation for details.

Tap the share button to share the flight with another EFB using AirDrop. See the DFR Tab documentation for further details.

Enhancements

  • View details about any destination waypoint by clicking on the waypoint on the Map
  • Checklists can now be set for most phases of flight. See the Checklists documentation for setup and use.
  • If you change from one aircraft to another aircraft of the same model, all of your flight planning will now be retained. Weight and balance and fuel will only be reset if you change aircraft types.

  • The Created Date has been added to the Payment information on the Payment select form
  • Receipts are now marked as USED in the receipt list if they are being used on another load (Receipts can still be selected for multiple loads on the same flight.)
  • The standard cargo allowances set in Company EFB Preferences for adults, children, and infants are now used for the default cargo with passengers when creating loads
  • NOTAMs now include the effective date(s)
  • If a company does not use Block times, DFR logbook entries are not limited by total flight time
  • Aircraft and date can now be changed even though a leg has been completed when in ScratchPad mode

  • A sync button has been added to the Data category in the sync view
  • Auto refresh after deleting flight plan data under Settings > Storage
